What is First Baptist Church of Monroe?
First Baptist Church of Monroe (FBCM) is a Christian family of believers who desire to be connected to Christ our Savior through worship, this Church by loving each other, and the local Community by faithful service. Ultimately, it is our shared faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that binds us together.

What does the church do?
We worship God together on Sundays at our regular services, which include singing songs of praise to God, prayer, and a message from Scripture. The church is active in serving and sharing the love of Jesus with our community. There are also a variety of church ministries that provide opportunities for spiritual growth and service to each other.

Do I have to do anything special to visit?
FBCM welcomes all who want to join us, and we want you to feel free to come as you are! We strive to create a comfortable and friendly atmosphere to make you feel right at home, and we do not recognize our visitors publicly. There is not a dress code, and while some people do choose to wear their “Sunday best” others choose more casual clothes.

What about my children?
We always welcome children, especially in our worship services! If you prefer, our children’s ministry does offer a nursery and children’s programs during both worship services.

Where do you meet?
Our church has a building located at 139 Francis Avenue in Monroe, VA. It is up on a hill adjacent to US 29 Business, next to the Monroe Community Center. There is plenty of parking around the building, including reserved handicap spaces near wheelchair accessible entrances.

What if I have more questions?
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have! We’d be glad to help you connect with our church family in any way we can. You can also fill out an information card at the time of your visit so we can begin to get to know you. We look forward to meeting you!
