Women’s Missionary Union

“For we are God’s fellow workers” (1 Corinthians 3:9, NKJV)

Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) is an organization dedicated to supporting missions through praying, studying, teaching, donating time and money, and participating in projects that benefit many people. During the year, our members have numerous opportunities to attend various retreats and mission studies. The WMU also sponsors several church wide special offerings during the year. These include the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions.

The WMU at FBCM is meant to meet the interests of all women ages 18 and older. Contact the church office to find out more about our group of ladies.

The Baptist Women : This group meets at 6:00 pm on the third Wednesday of each month at the church. They sponsor semi-annual dinners for missions and a variety of community helps for those in need. Each meeting consists of a devotional, prayer, a program, and a time for fellowship. Mission emphases for this group include the Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan’s Purse, Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center, Klothes4Kids, Coats4Kids, Toy Barrel for kids at Christmas, Ladies Tea Party and other local community ministries. We always welcome new members!
